"Something Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue"
Literally hundreds of hours went into the creation of this exhibit which features over 100 wedding gowns from the
19th Century to as recent as January 2019! Also on display is a tie-dyed dress and suit, some bridesmaids dresses, vintage wedding licenses, photos, veils, cake toppers, a wedding dress that was on popular TLC Show, and more!
This exhibit runs through May, so be sure to stop by; you DON'T want to miss this, and admission is free!!
Open Regular Museum Hours (Wed. & Sat. noon-3pm) or by appointment.
Arting at the Museum-Glass Mosaic Workshop/Fundraiser
When: April 26, 2019 6-9pm
Cost: $45 ($5 from each ticket is donated to the Straight Farmhouse)
Join us for the fantastic night of arting. Created on re-purposed frames and reclaimed windows, each piece is made using Glass on Glass technique which allows light to shine though splashing the room with brilliant color.

Kiss My Glass- Nightlight Making Workshop/Fundraiser

Come join us for a DIY jewelry making workshop at The Straight Farmhouse Historical Museum in Garden City. This is GREAT way to give back to your community for this awesome fundraiser!
Come as you are. Everyone welcome and no experience needed. I will bring the supplies and instruct you on how to create your own dichroic glass nightlight. Nightlights are $25 and $5 from each item made will be donated back to the Straight Farmhouse. You get to chose the colors and shape of your choice!!
Come Have fun ~ invite a friend! Appropriate for age 10+ (Children must be accompanied by an adult) Your creations will come home with me to be prepped for 17 hrs of kiln firing. I will deliver them in 12-14 days.

Come hear about the history of weddings and wedding customs. Also see a fashion show of wedding gowns and bride’s maids dresses.
Also have an opportunity to tour our exhibit of over 100 wedding gowns, some over 100 years old, and one worn as recently as January 2019!
Also in this exhibit are old wedding photos, stories associated with some of the dresses, old wedding licenses.
On display (and for sale!) is a tie-dyed dress and a dress from the popular TLC show ‘Say Yes to The Dress’.
