Ghost Sighting!
Friday and Saturday nights, September 25^th and 26^th, 2009, during Kristy Robinett’s “haunting Hideaway Tours” of the Straight Farm House, three people experienced the following: “During Saturday night’s Ghost tour, we had two sisters in their 70’s claim they saw a man sitting in the chair in front of the high school switchboard upstairs. They said he appeared to be in his mid-40’s with a plaid shirt, thinning hair and broad face. They claimed they took a picture of him with their digital camera, although they couldn’t see his image in their viewfinder. This is the same room where a man in last night’s group claimed that someone bumped into him when he was in the room.” Friends’ President, Mark Hammar, who was “on duty” hosting on those nights, related this “sighting” to us.
HISTORICAL FACT: Oscar Straight, the home’s owner, who was born in 1839 and who died on October 9, 1886, was 47 years of age when he died!
