Start now! Begin your Architectural Treasure Hunt to identify Garden City buildings from a photo sheet available at the Straight Farm House. Correct identification of all will make the contestant eligible for 1 of 5 prizes.
Color a picture of the Straight Farm House and grounds. It's available now at the SFH. Entrants will have their pictures displayed at the SFH. Entrants will write their names on a ticket to be drawn on Saturday to determine two winners who will each receive a $25 certificate toward opening an account with the Co-Op Service Credit Union.
Wednesday, May 30th -- Enter the Treasure Hunt in the Museum! Successful hunters will be awarded an old-fashioned candy stick in the Lathers General Store! The Straight Farm House, Lathers General Store and G.C. Historical Museum will be open from noon to 5 p.m.
Thursday, May 31st -- "A Celebration of History" open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Straight Farm House, sponsored by the Friends of the Garden City Museum, the Chamber of Commerce and Schoolcraft College . Appetizers and champagne punch provided by Schoolcraft's Culinary Department will be served.
Saturday, June 2nd-- The "History Mystery Tent" will be open in Garden City Park, for visitors to identify items on display and then be encouraged to visit the Museum in the Straight Farm House for a tour.
